Quantitative Whole Body Autoradiography (QWBA) Study Services Now at XBL
Plainsboro, NJ, November 11, 2008 - XenoBiotic Laboratories (XBL) has enhanced its capabilities in ADME services with the addition of Quantitative Whole Body Autoradiography (QWBA). XBL will provide QWBA study support starting in early 2009. The latest state-of-the-art instrumentation and a newly renovated laboratory, combined with industry expertise, will allow XBL to produce the highest quality autoradiography data. Our QWBA studies will incorporate Histological Verification of Site Specific Radioactivity (HVSSR) to provide the most accurate analysis of the distribution of derived radioactivity. XBL will offer quantitative and qualitative WBA studies to assess tissue distribution, placental transfer, melanin binding, large animal organ or tissue autoradiography and microautoradiography. Studies may be conducted at exploratory, non-GLP, or fully GLP compliant levels to ICH guidelines. XBL is NRC licensed to work with 14C and 3H.
XBL's turnkey study services will include study design, pharmacokinetics, dosimetry calculations, presentation grade images, and integration with excretion balance and metabolite profiling/identification. XBL offers these fully integrated services based on many years of experience to ensure a successful ADME program.
The addition of in-house QWBA services is another example of how XBL continues to offer the latest advances in technology to enhance its core services in the bioanalytical, ADME, and metabolism profiling areas available to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, animal health and agrochemical industries.
